Gow advised CNN anchors Brianna Keilar and Boris Sanchez that the school’s decision to fire him was a violation of his First Amendment rights, and that he was given "no due course of" in the decision.

The universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents unanimously voted to fire Gow Wednesday, with the body’s president Jay Rothman citing his "abhorrent" actions that "subjected the college to significant reputational hurt."

"This Board is charged with the stewardship of our great Universities of Wisconsin. Unfortunately, Dr. Joe Gow has shown a reckless disregard for the role he was entrusted with at UW-La Crosse to serve college students, school and staff, and the campus neighborhood," UW System Regent President Karen Walsh added in a separate statement. "The outrage over his behavior is evidenced by the unanimous vote by the UW Board of Regents to terminate him as chancellor. We are alarmed, and disgusted, by his actions, which have been wholly and undeniably inconsistent along with his role as chancellor."

Local outlet The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Gow and his spouse Carmen Wilson "appeared in OnlyFans videos and featured porn stars on their YouTube cooking channel" below the title @SexyHappyCouple. Additionally, pornographic movies of the couple appeared on porn websites PornHub and XHamster.

During his phase on "CNN News Central" on Friday, Gow didn’t deny any of the allegations reported, noting that he and his spouse have also printed several sex-positive books underneath faux names.
